Oliver Hazard

The name says it all; this man throws caution to the wind and lives on the seat of his pants. Oliver is a genuine nice guy, good friend and has a huge heart. Oliver was born and raised on the shores of Palos Verdes, growing up at the seashore has allowed him the opportunity of spending most of his waking hours tracking swell and riding waves. At a young age it was quickly understood that Oliver had a gift when he rode waves. His natural talent was an outlet for his creative brain, rather than conforming to competitive regimes, he spent his time learning the sea, tracking swell, tide, winds and somehow always ended up at the right place at the right time. Soon after graduating High School, Oliver packed up and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii. His big wave game stepped up a few notches, and with a later move to Humboldt County he became increasingly comfortable with 9'0 guns, great whites and heavy tube riding.

It is easily stated that Oliver is a wandering surf/art renaissance man. When he isn't searching for waves you can find him connecting on his innate abilities of playing guitar, didgeridoo or creating the most surreal ceramics pieces comprehendible. Oliver recently graduated from Humboldt state with a degree in ceramics. His creations are mind blowing, in high school he was toted as the guru of ceramics and we strongly believe that his creations will bring joy for many years to come. Oliver has a tendency to excel at almost everything he focuses on, in fact it has been known that he will pick up an instrument he knows nothing about (like a banjo) and lick out some Ravi Shankarish jam that will leave an entire barbeque silent.

Currently Oliver is living in Los Angeles county, working, surfing and traveling whenever possible. He is one of our rock steady wave riders and we are honored to have him supporting the Collectic cause.
