In the spring of 2000 I started a small clothing label entitled Sadking. It was a time of growth, a time of understanding my surroundings and a time where I was searching for my path. Overwhelming issues such as the presidential elections, bombs and terrorism were plaguing my everyday. The concept of the Sadking started from a simple stencil design for a surfboard and grew into a small movement. A movement with a message, that no matter how disempowered or overwhelmed you become in this world, you always have the capability to create something beautiful. I continued to push the line for the next four years, through art shows, word of mouth vending and commission works for friends and family. My love for designing clothing has only strengthened over the last 5 years and now that I have finished my schooling I am ready for something fresh and pure. For all of those who have rocked the Sadking gear, I thank you and hope we can grow together in this new venture. (There will still be limited lines of sadking designs in the future)

It is now the spring of 2005 and I have been blessed with time, support and creative energy to create a new project entitled Collectic. Through this project I am stepping into my new voice as a man who has believes in the benefits of working in solidarity with others. I am fortunate to have an incredibly diverse and talented field of young (artists, film makers, designers, writers, activists, musicians, etc.) friends who are stepping into roles with the companyís inauguration. We have created a collectic family, which is the heart of the company and will allow many voices to come through one label. A good friend of mine pushed me to create a project and clothing label, which embodies who I am and how my relationships with other amazing talented artists and free thinkers might blossom into a movement. A movement which encompasses wearable arts, jewelry and an overall sense of a conscious collective. It is extremely important to me that this clothing venture is more than just a capitalistic scheme, I am striving at providing a social column for talented and thought provoking writers, giving a voice to those dedicated to working towards social justice.

The word collectic is a fictional word (no need to look it up in Websterís) its interpretation is open to the eyes of the beholder. For us it represents working collectively, collecting and creating works of art and sharing our joy of life with everyone.
Spring/Summer 2005 is Collectic's first season of life, our words are raw, our art is fresh and we are planning on creating something unforgettable.

Thanks for your time,
